McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971)
Robert Altman's 1971 western McCabe & Mrs. Miller stars Warren Beatty and Julie Christie as newcomers to the Pacific Northwest mining town of Presbyterian Church who open a brothel, until agents of a powerful mining company threaten their plans. Vilmos Zsigmond shot it, and Leonard Cohen songs fill the soundtrack. Sarah Keller, professor of art and cinema studies at UMass Boston, gives an optional seminar before the 35mm screening.
