Jewish Studies Colloquium: Frances Tanzer on Klezmer Territories in Eastern Galicia, 1870-1920
Frances Tanzer presents her paper “Klezmer Territories: the Profession, Repertoire, and Language of the Klezmorim in Eastern Galicia, 1870-1920” to the Jewish Studies Colloquium, a forum meeting since 2001 where Brandeis graduate students and faculty, and scholars from other institutions, discuss current research and works in progress. The paper is posted on the Tauber Institute website two weeks ahead, and a light kosher lunch is served.
