The Sitayana (Or “How to Make an Exit”)

by Lavina Jadhwani

CHUANG Stage · Boston Center for the Arts · Black Box Theatre · 539 Tremont St · Boston · MA · South End

Lavina Jadhwani retells the Ramayana from Sita's side — the company calls it "part Sanskrit epic, part coming-of-age story, and ultimately a break-up play." Tushar Mathew directs, with movement devised by the ensemble. Jadhwani died in 2025, and this is among the last of her work to reach a stage.
