White-Line Woodblock Printing: A Talk by Darrell Smith
Darrell Smith talks about the history, technique and present-day possibilities of white-line woodblock printing, the watercolour-like method born in Provincetown that prints several colours from a single carved block. Smith took up printmaking professionally after retiring from Harvard Medical School in 2017, studied at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and has developed a contemporary approach to the tradition. The Wellesley Society of Artists co-presents.
