Choral and organ music by Hans Leo Hassler, the leading organ composer in southern Germany around 1600, who began his career in Venice and was brought to Augsburg by the Fugger family. Organ works and choral pieces alternate, on the instruments of St. Elizabeth's in Sudbury and First Lutheran Church in Boston. Tenor Jason McStoots directs the singers, with Andrus Madsen at the organ.
