Rehearsals for a Revolution (2026), the directing debut of Iranian actor Pegah Ahangarani, star of The Girl in the Sneakers (1999), uses home movies, family photographs and news broadcasts to trace four decades of Iran since the revolution, in five chapters each devoted to someone close to her, from her filmmaker father to her daughter. It won Cannes’ 2026 L’Œil d’or for best documentary and plays in IFFBoston’s Fall Focus.
