A Little "Flight" Music

Bay Colony Brass · Second Church in Newton · 60 Highland St · West Newton · MA · West Newton · Newton

Bay Colony Brass plays orchestral works in brass arrangements: “Mercury” from Holst’s The Planets, the suite from Stravinsky’s The Firebird, Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, with a new work in the second half. The band, founded in 2000, is a 20-piece volunteer brass and percussion ensemble from greater Boston, led by music director Philip Sanborn.
