Lecture, Loosened: Why Robots Still Struggle
The first Tech Edition of Lecture, Loosened opens with a 20-minute plain-language talk by a robotics practitioner or researcher on why robots that perform well in controlled settings struggle in the real world, covering perception, decision-making and physical reality. Attendees then move to tables of about six for host-guided rounds on what surprised them, where humans should stay in the loop, and what would have to change.
