The Lineup (1958)
Eli Wallach and Robert Keith play hired killers collecting heroin smuggled into San Francisco in unwitting travellers' luggage, against a tight deadline that takes them to the Embarcadero YMCA and the since-vanished Sutro Baths. The Lineup (1958) was the first of Don Siegel's three San Francisco features. Shown on 35mm, preceded by Nathaniel Dorsky's silent 16mm Threnody (2004), shot in and around the city.
