· · · 66 Leavitt Street · · ·

Darius Coombs, a Mashpee Wampanoag educator, talks about the history and culture of the Wampanoag, who have lived on this land for thousands of years by planting, hunting, fishing and gathering, and about what colonization meant to them. Coombs spent more than thirty years at Plimoth Patuxet, starting as an interpreter on its Wampanoag Homesite, and received the Massachusetts History Alliance’s Bay State Legacy Award in 2021.
