Senator Andy Kim, a New Jersey Democrat, talks about the United States, China and the state of global economic competition. Kim is ranking member of the Senate Banking Committee's subcommittee on national security and international trade and finance; before winning his seat in 2024 he served three terms in the House, and earlier worked on national security at the State Department and the National Security Council.
