Dennis Russell Davies conducts Philip Glass at 90
Thu Feb 11 · 7:30pm / Fri Feb 12 · 1:30pm / Sat Feb 13 · 8pm
Marking Philip Glass's ninetieth birthday, Dennis Russell Davies conducts three orchestral works whose premieres he led, among them the 1987 Violin Concerto he first persuaded Glass to write. Davies has championed the composer's music for decades, from the early ensemble pieces to the fifteen symphonies of his later career.
