Water: Music of Rain, Rivers, Lakes and the Sea
The Master Singers of Lexington, under music director Adam Grossman, open their season with choral music about water, sung in English, German, Russian and Spanish: Elgar's The Fountain and As Torrents in Summer, Mendelssohn's Wasserfahrt and Venetian Boat Song, Barber's To Be Sung on the Water, Copland's Shall We Gather at the River, Gretchaninov's Rain, Amy Beach's Sea Fever, Dante Andreo's Cantos Del Agua and Mancini's Moon River.
