Lie Groups Seminar: Shenghao Li (University of Maryland)
Shenghao Li of the University of Maryland speaks on the base change fundamental lemma, which produces matching functions, with equal stable orbital integrals, between Hecke algebras of an unramified p-adic group over a field and over an unramified extension. Tracing results by Kottwitz (1986), Clozel (1990) and Haines (2009 and 2012), Li extends them to general principal series blocks through explicit constructions of types.
