2026 Dresselhaus Lecture
Gang Chen, MIT's Carl Richard Soderberg Professor of Power Engineering, who headed Mechanical Engineering from 2013 to 2018, delivers the annual lecture named for Mildred Dresselhaus, the MIT physicist known as the “queen of carbon science.” Chen's research runs from electron and phonon transport in thermoelectric materials to evaporation and condensation for desalination and data-centre cooling; his honours include the ASME Heat Transfer Memorial Award.
