The Devils (1971)
Oliver Reed plays Urbain Grandier, a libertine priest in 17th-century Loudun who defies Cardinal Richelieu, and Vanessa Redgrave the repressed abbess whose obsession with him sets off accusations of demonic possession among her nuns. Ken Russell's 1971 adaptation of Aldous Huxley's The Devils of Loudun, banned and recut for decades, returns in the director's cut; Moviehouse Two shows a newly struck 35mm print of the 4K restoration.
