Family Concert
The Wellesley Symphony Orchestra’s family programme opens with music from two superhero films, Pinar Toprak’s score for Captain Marvel and Rupert Gregson-Williams’s for the 2017 Wonder Woman. At its centre is Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, the narrated tale he wrote in 1936 to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra. The winner of the orchestra’s Michael H. Welles concerto competition also performs.
