America at 250 and Beyond: A Well-Informed Citizenry
Jill Lepore, the Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, moderates a panel on why a well-informed citizenry matters to the health of constitutional democracy. With her are David French, opinion columnist for the New York Times; Steve Inskeep of NPR's Morning Edition; and Jameel Jaffer, executive director of Columbia's Knight First Amendment Institute. It is the third event in the Institute of Politics' semiquincentennial series Consent of the Governed.
