The Risks of Nuclear War in the Early 1980s
Michael Dobbs discusses his new book The Six Minute War (Simon & Schuster), on US-Soviet tensions in Ronald Reagan’s first administration, when relations were worse than at any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. Dobbs, a former Washington Post correspondent, also wrote One Minute to Midnight. Serhii Plokhii, Harvard’s professor of Ukrainian history, and Mark Kramer of the Davis Center’s Cold War Studies Project join him.
