The Picower Institute Fall 2026 Symposium "Comparative Neuroscience: Lessons from Biodiversity"
The Picower Institute's fall symposium, hosted by Brady Weissbourd, asks how nervous systems are organised across species as different as jellyfish and bats, what evolution changes to produce new behaviours, and why some brains regenerate better than others. Nine speakers take part, among them Herwig Baier of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence, Kanaka Rajan of Harvard, Vanessa Ruta and Daniel Kronauer of Rockefeller, and Elly Tanaka of IMBA.
