Stravinsky Ballets: The Rite of Spring, with Unsuk Chin's Trumpet Concerto
Thu Feb 18 · 7:30pm / Fri Feb 19 · 1:30pm / Sat Feb 20 · 8pm
Håkan Hardenberger is the soloist in a new trumpet concerto by Unsuk Chin, the Grawemeyer-winning Korean-German composer, before Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, whose 1913 premiere famously ended in a riot. Andris Nelsons conducts, the first of two weeks devoted to Stravinsky's early ballets.
