Hunted (1952)
Dirk Bogarde plays a fugitive murderer who drags along the orphaned boy (Jon Whiteley) who saw his crime on a run across England in Charles Crichton's Hunted (1952), also known as The Stranger in Between, which won the Golden Leopard at Locarno in 1953. Shown on 35mm in the Great Expectations season of British postwar cinema, it is preceded by Humphrey Jennings's A Diary for Timothy (1945).
