Fr. Willie Doyle, SJ: The Cause of a World War I Chaplain
An Irish delegation comes to promote the cause for the canonization of Fr. Willie Doyle, SJ, the Dublin-born Jesuit who served as a British Army chaplain with Irish regiments in the First World War and was killed at the Battle of Passchendaele in August 1917 while tending wounded men. Stonehill’s Campus Ministry hosts the presentation.
