Night of the Living Dead (1968)
George A. Romero's first feature, made in 1968 on a shoestring outside Pittsburgh, traps a group of strangers in a farmhouse as a horde of the flesh-eating dead closes in. It mixed gore with social commentary and cast a Black actor, Duane Jones, in the lead. It plays in a double bill with House (Hausu) for Cult Cinema Tuesdays, part of the sixth Halloween Hullabaloo.
