Dark Passage (1947)
Humphrey Bogart plays an escaped convict, wrongly jailed for his wife's murder, who heads for San Francisco to clear his name and is taken in by a stranger played by Lauren Bacall. The first half of Delmer Daves's 1947 noir is shot from his point of view, until plastic surgery gives him Bogart's face. Shown on 35mm in Visions of a City, or A Weekend in San Francisco.
