Kathy Choi & Mia Wenjen: Giving Thanks with Foodie Picture Books
Two picture-book authors read and lead crafts for children. Kathy Choi reads Giving Thanks with Halmoni, about Chuseok, the Korean harvest-moon festival, and teaches a Korean wrapping-cloth craft; Mia Wenjen reads from The Traveling Taco, on the surprising journeys of children's favourite foods, and shows how to fold origami french fries and a cup. Both books were named 2026 Notable Social Studies Trade Books.
