NEC Composers' Series: Arthur Berger Memorial Concert
An annual concert in NEC's Composition Department honours Arthur Berger, who joined its faculty in 1980 and stayed two decades. Berger reviewed music for the Boston Transcript and the New York Herald Tribune, founded two journals, and moved as a composer from neoclassicism to twelve-tone writing; BMOP has recorded his complete orchestral works for New World. Sid Richardson curates the programme.
