Kevin Hartnett discusses The Proof in the Code: How a Truth Machine Is Transforming Math and AI, the “inside story of Lean,” a Microsoft Research bug-checker taken up by mathematicians including Peter Scholze and Terence Tao and by firms such as Google DeepMind. Hartnett was Quanta Magazine’s senior writer on mathematics and computer science and wrote the Boston Globe’s “Brainiac” column. The talk is part of the Harvard Science Book Talks series.
