Connor Malin of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn speaks at MIT's Algebraic Topology Seminar. Malin works in homotopy theory, notably on configuration spaces of manifolds and the Koszul self-duality of the little disks operads, the structures that record how disks can be placed side by side inside a larger disk in Euclidean space.
