McGovern Institute Special Seminar with Alan Mardinly & Murat Günel
Alan Mardinly and Murat Günel of Science Corp. present "Towards dopaminergic biohybrid implants for Parkinson's disease": immune-evasive, light-controlled dopamine neurons grown from stem cells and engrafted in a thin-film micro-LED implant, which rescued a mouse model of the disease. Mardinly, who left Neuralink's leadership to co-found Science, is its chief scientific officer; Günel chairs neurosurgery at Yale School of Medicine.
