The Wondrous World of Birds

Boston Book Festival · Old South Church — Mary Norton Hall · 645 Boylston St · Boston · Back Bay · Boston

In Return to the Sky, Tina Morris recounts how, as an ornithology student in 1975, she spent two years caring for seven eaglets at Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge to help reintroduce bald eagles to New York after DDT. Engineer and lifelong birder Lorna Gibson’s Birds Up Close examines feathers, bones, bills, eggs and flight. Mark Faherty, host of The Weekly Bird Report, moderates, with color photographs projected throughout.
