Kid's Story Time: Mary E. Cronin, Trucks, Boots, and Bells: Firehouse Poems
Mary E. Cronin, the daughter of a firefighter, shares Trucks, Boots, and Bells: Firehouse Poems, a picture book of eighteen poems and fun facts in which firefighters pull on their boots and race through the city. The poems, in ballads, haiku and other forms with titles like "Pole Slider" and "Attack Hose," are illustrated by Aaron Marin. The storytime is aimed at children fascinated by firefighting.
