Tufts in Translation: Dr. Madeleine Oudin
Madeleine Oudin, a Tufts biomedical engineer, presents her work on splice-switching antisense oligonucleotides for SCN8A-related neurological disorders, a case study in getting mutation-specific genetic medicines to patients whose numbers run to dozens rather than thousands. Her talk, “From n=1 to n=few,” covers the scientific, clinical and development hurdles of rare-disease therapies. The Tufts in Translation event is held at LabCentral in Kendall Square.
