Jakub Hrůša conducts Suk, Martinů, & Brahms, with Alexandre Kantorow
Thu Apr 29 · 7:30pm / Fri Apr 30 · 1:30pm / Sat May 1 · 8pm
Czech conductor Jakub Hrůša leads two countrymen — Suk's Fantastické Scherzo, new to the BSO, and Martinů's Sixth Symphony, a BSO commission written for Charles Munch — with Alexandre Kantorow the soloist in Brahms's turbulent First Piano Concerto, the composer's first large orchestral work.
