The UMass Lowell Concert Band, directed by Debra-Nicole Huber, draws its players from majors across the university. The programme opens with Hosay's Our Sons and Daughters March, then turns to nature in Hazo's setting of A Wild Mountain Thyme and Barker's treatment of the Irish lullaby Deir'In De, and includes "Hobbits," a movement from Johan de Meij's 1987 Lord of the Rings.
