Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet
Talmi Entertainment's touring Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet, now on its 33rd annual tour, sets Tchaikovsky's score with new choreography that mixes classical ballet with puppetry and acrobatics. The company fields a corps of 40 Vaganova-trained dancers alongside 10-foot puppets and nine hand-painted backdrops, and its “Dance with Us” program auditions local children to perform in roles created for them. The production is pitched at families.
