Camille de Peretti: Portrait of an Unknown Woman
Camille de Peretti discusses her novel Portrait of an Unknown Woman, which starts from a true episode: in 1910 Gustav Klimt painted a young woman, then painted over her portrait, and the canvas, stolen in 1997, resurfaced two decades later. De Peretti imagines the woman behind the painting and the generations that follow her. MIT's Global France Seminar presents the talk with Literature at MIT and the French Library.
