Reconciling Credibility and Radicalism in an Age of Populism with Rachel Reeves
Rachel Reeves, who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from July 2024 to July 2026 and was the first woman to hold the office, talks with Gita Gopinath, drawing on her time at the Treasury and her earlier career as a Bank of England economist. Reeves remains a Member of Parliament; Gopinath, formerly the IMF’s first deputy managing director, now directs Harvard’s Global Economics Lab.
