Grubbie Debut: Margaret Woo, author of The City of Jade Trees, in conversation with Alysia Abbott
Margaret Woo discusses her debut, The City of Jade Trees: A Family Memoir, which follows four generations from her great-grandfather, an early “sojourner,” and a grandfather who arrived as the Chinese Exclusion Act passed, to her father, a navigator with the Flying Tigers, and her own arrival in America at seven. Woo is a professor of law at Northeastern. Writer Alysia Abbott joins her, in GrubStreet’s Grubbie Debut series.
