AI and Climate Change: Modeling the Future with En-ROADS (Sustainability Lunch Series)
MIT professor John Sterman, director of the MIT System Dynamics Group, walks through the latest update to the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator, which models how AI, energy, emissions and the economy interact. The session covers how data centers add to energy demand and emissions, and why the indirect effects of scaling AI may outweigh the direct footprint of data centers, and prepares attendees to use the simulator in their own conversations.
