Haydn's oratorio The Creation, a setting of the Genesis story for three vocal soloists, chorus and orchestra, from its famous orchestral picture of chaos to two hours of plain delight in the new world. It opens two weeks the BSO gives over to creation, paired the following week with a new Golijov commission.
