Bach, Brahms, & Poulenc: UMass Lowell Choirs with Cambridge Symphony Orchestra & Nashoba Valley Chorale
The UMass Lowell University Choir and Chamber Singers join the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra and the Nashoba Valley Chorale, more than 200 musicians in all, for Poulenc's Gloria and Brahms's Nänie, his setting of Schiller's lament. The orchestra also plays Leopold Stokowski's arrangement of Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor. Soprano Laura Santamaria is the soloist, and Anne Watson Born, Jonathan Richter and Cynthia Woods conduct.
