[ENVS] Resonant Landscapes: Listening with Nature and History
Jeremy Eichler, assistant professor of music at Tufts and former chief classical music critic of the Boston Globe, explores the relationship between the nature of music and the music of nature. Sampling composed works and the sounds of ecosystems, the lecture considers how sound connects to place and what listening means in an age of environmental crisis. Eichler wrote Time's Echo, on music and the memory of the Second World War.
