The Soul, Enchanted
Contralto Vira Slywotzky and Georgian-American pianist Ana Glig, joined by cellist Miriam Eckelhoefer, perform songs by women composers past and present, among them Alma Mahler, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Florence Price, Augusta Holmès, Meri Davitashvili, Vivian Fung, Lori Laitman and Martha Redbone. The performers introduce the works. Slywotzky, who founded the series in 2018, was the sole US representative at the 2009 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World.
