Transformative Connections Across Generations
Tom Lin, Allison King and Elizabeth Lim discuss novels of immigrant families across generations. Lin’s Babylon, South Dakota follows a Chinese family on an American homestead; King’s The Phoenix Pencil Company sends a recluse to reunite her grandmother with a long-lost cousin, both once spies in World War II; and Lim’s Fishbone Cinderella follows a woman who escapes Japanese-occupied Hong Kong, and her daughter. Bestselling author Kerri Maher moderates.
