The Landscape of American History
Beverly Gage and Megan Kate Nelson discuss American history and its myths. Gage, who won the Pulitzer Prize for G-Man, visits 13 sites in This Land is Your Land: A Road Trip Through U.S. History; Nelson, a Pulitzer finalist, portrays the Indigenous, Black, Mexican American and immigrant lives of the West, and the national myth that replaced them, in The Westerners. GBH’s Jeremy Siegel, host of In Common, moderates.
