Poetry Reading: Dick Lourie & Mark Pawlak
Two poets from Hanging Loose Press, which turns 60 this year, read: Dick Lourie, its co-founder and senior editor, and Mark Pawlak, its managing editor. Lourie’s Jam Session and Other Poems runs on jazz and blues; a saxophonist, he played for fifteen years with the blues singer Big Jack Johnson. Pawlak’s eleventh collection, Special Operation, addresses Russia’s war in Ukraine and the lives caught in it.
