Ian Marcus Corbin: To Arrive Where We Started
Ian Marcus Corbin discusses To Arrive Where We Started: Belonging in the Modern World, on friendship with oneself, family, community, nation and species. Corbin examines Native American, African and early American cultures that made their people feel at home, and contrasts them with contemporary America's “paranoid, self-protective culture of ownership.” Countway Library hosts the talk in its Longwood Author Series with Harvard Medical School's Center for Bioethics.
