RBF26: How can fiction build empathy and social justice through great storytelling?
Four local authors discuss how fiction takes on social and political issues. Ellen Meeropol, author of six novels including Sometimes an Island; Randy Susan Meyers, whose latest is The Many Mothers of Ivy Puddingstone; essayist Theresa Okokon, author of the memoir Who I Always Was; and Lisa Stringfellow, author of the middle-grade novels Kingdom of Dust and A Comb of Wishes, take part. Writer and engineer Cameron Dryden moderates.
