Sweet Stuff: New England’s Confectionery History
Susan Mara Bregman shares stories from New England Sweets: Doughnuts, Bonbons, and Whoopie Pies, which traces the region’s confections from a late-1700s chocolate mill on the Neponset River to Necco Wafers and Fluffernutters. Bregman has also written New England Neon and New England Candlepin Bowling for Arcadia Publishing; her most recent title is Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. The Belmont Historical Society co-presents.
